Introdution
xSort is a card sorting application for Mac OS X. It allows you to easily define a new card sorting problem, perform several sessions with multiple participants, and finally analyze the results (using multiple criteria) and generate printable reports.
What's new in version 1.6.1?
- Maintenance release to fix some issues with Mac OS X Snow Leopard.
Features
- Supports open, semi-open and closed exercises.
- Supports sub-groups.
- Handles participant profiles.
- Complete graphical environment for performing exercises, simulating a zoomable table with cards. Optional view based on lists and outlines.
- Displays individually all the info related to an individual session.
- Statistical results (cluster tree, distance table, etc.) updated in real time (no need to open a second application, just click the Results tab).
- Create, read and print reports with a single click. Reports may contain only part of the results, or a full description of your card sorting exercise. Also, reports are preserved inside your card sorting document, even if you change the initial problem settings. This allows you to compare several reports and see the evolution of your exercise over time.
- Lock (with a password) and save your card sorting document in exercise mode, so that a participant may do only one session, and not accidentally change the problem settings or see the results.
- 100% written in Cocoa, fully integrated with Mac OS X.
